Remembering the British Soldiers of the American Civil War
I was invited to cover a unique ceremony: the dedication of two US memorials to British-born soldiers who fought in the American Civil War - including the last British soldier of the war to die in the UK. I explore the story of these two soldiers and what their lives tell us about British veterans of the Civil War.

In the first part of our epic four-episode journey through the 200 year history of British women in the air, we start with the very earliest days of flight - hot air balloons and gliders. You may know a handful of famous flying women, but as our videos will show, there are countless others whose achievements have been largely forgotten.
